Dummy Dilemma

You should all know by now how much I hate it when people tell me how to parent. I’ve said it again and again and again and I’ll keep saying it until I’m blue in the face, don’t do it! That being said, can people stop asking me when I’m going to start taking my sons dummy away from him? Or even worse than that, telling me I should stop him using it and stating his age as if that’s justification enough for you to know how to parent my child better than I do. Why does it bother you so much????? There are kids out there who’ve given up their dummies after a matter of months. Some have taken years and others haven’t used them at all.

Yes, he’s almost two (thanks for stating the obvious, Sherlock!) but he’s a veeeeery late teether (he didn’t get his first tooth until he was one) and he’s still got a few more that are slowly but surely making an appearance. Plus, he only usually uses his dummy when he’s tired so thanks for your advice, but I’ll let him hang onto his ‘num-num’ for a little bit longer.
