Claridge’s 2018 Christmas Tree will be designed by fashion icon, long-time guest and friend of the hotel, Diane von Furstenberg. Her creation, ‘The Tree of Love’, will be unveiled in the hotel lobby on Tuesday 27 November.

Duke of York Square

See Chelsea light-up at the magical Christmas Lights Switch-On on Saturday 17 November. Meet the real reindeer and even see Father Christmas turn on the lights with his special helper! Entertainment will be available across the area – meet the reindeer on Duke of York Square from 2.15pm, along with Father Christmas, who will  be making surprise appearances. There will also be sparkling stilt-walkers, twinkling ballerinas, favourite festive tunes and choirs in the run up to the Lights Switch-On, which is at 5pm on Sloane Square.

Leadenhall Market at Christmas

Christmas returns to the City as Leadenhall Market gets lit up for the festive season. A 20-foot tree will take centre stage, with its lights set to be turned on in style by the Lord Mayor of London at 6:30pm on Friday November 16. Come for the choir, stay for the snow and let the mulled wine flow. Displayed until 31st Dec

The 2018 switch-on takes place on Wed Nov 14. Activities will run from 3pm-7pm, with the lights coming on at 6pm. These are on display until 4th Jan

The Wintertime event is open from November 9 and runs until January 6 2019. The majority of the Southbank Centre's outdoor attractions are open from 10am-10pm daily. The Southbank Centre is normally entirely closed on Christmas Day, with outdoor attractions staying closed on New Year's Eve.

Syon Park, The enchanted Woodland

For its thirteenth year, Syon Park's Enchanted Woodland will see the 600-year-old gardens transformed by a light display, with its Great Conservatory completely illuminated in the centre of the historic arboretum. From November 16th to November 25th

Trafalgar Square

Since 1947, each year a Christmas tree has been given to the people of London from Norway in gratitude for Britain's support to Norway during World War II. The tree will be lit by the Mayor of Westminster, Norwegian Ambassador and governing Mayor of Oslo. There'll be carol singing by The Salvation Army and the St Martin-in-the-Fields choir. There will also be poetry by local school children. This event is presented by Westminster Council and supported by the Mayor of London and will be held on 6th Dec at 6pm
