We've hit another milestone!

Ahhhhh I’m so happy! After months of trying to get my son to go on his potty he’s finally started to cooperate and use it! I’ve lost count of the amount of times he’s peed in it today and we even got a number two out of him too! Ah this is so exciting! I really hope he keeps it up and doesn’t regress like early last year. I’ll admit, I bribed him with a jar full of sweeties (one sweet per wee wee and 5 per poop) but it worked!

Now I’m beginning to get slightly worried about all of the outings we have planned over the upcoming weeks and how they’re going to fit in with potty training (I’m guessing a lot of accidents and a suitcase full of spare clothes for every journey) but it comes with the territory..

Do I wait until he gets more confident with knowing when he needs to go and then stop using nappies full stop OR do I make him go cold turkey and stop the nappies now (instead using pants) so he gets into the habit of not needing one anymore?????

It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey to even get to this point and having people gasp in horror when they realise he’s two and a half and still isn’t potty trained hasn’t helped but I’m glad we’re finally making strides.
