Momma's Lockdown Cinema Experience

I recently decided to throw a movie night for the household and as always, I went a little OTT. I’ve had a few messages about where I got everything from so I thought I’d chuck it all into a post. You can find our original Insta posts here and  here

Décor

All of the décor was pretty cheap (and I’m sure you can find it for cheaper if you look harder than me). Ours was all from Amazon (I saw cheaper on eBay but with longer delivery times). I tried to keep to one colour scheme – red, black and gold for a red carpet feel.

Black tablecloth (4) £6.59
Red stripy cups (6) £1.79
= £17.46

Don’t forget the duvets and cushions!
*Edit: Amari’s little tray was £1 from ASDA.
For the mood lighting we used our oil diffuser with the diffuser setting switched off.

Cinema concession checklist:

Popcorn (buy big sharing bags and break them down)
Pick N Mix (I used multi buy packs from ASDA that were 5 for £1)
Bakery treats (e.g. cake bites)
Soft drinks
Ice

Tickets and Poster

To give things a real cinema outing feel I made up a poster invite and sent it out to my Dad (who we live with) and cinema tickets – no ticket, no entry! Copy and paste the images into PowerPoint and personalise by adding your own text.

So there you have it, how to make your own little movie night.
